Overview
We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Self Employed Seamstress to join our creative team. This role offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to operate independently while delivering high-quality tailoring and alteration services. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for craftsmanship, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously to meet client needs.

Duties

Create customised garments and alterations based on client specifications, ensuring precision and quality.
Select appropriate threads, and accessories to match project requirement
Operate sewing machines and other relevant equipment efficiently, maintaining their proper condition.
Manage your own schedule.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a seamstress or tailor with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proficiency in using various sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.
Excellent eye for detail and colour coordination.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients about their requirements.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Knowledge of different fabrics, patterns, and garment construction techniques is desirable.
Self-motivated with a professional attitude towards deadlines and customer satisfaction. This role provides an excellent opportunity for experienced seamstresses seeking flexible self-employment options within a supportive environment dedicated to quality craftsmanship.
