Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Production Operative on a temporary contract to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the food production process, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Your proactive approach and commitment to food safety will contribute significantly to our operational success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced food production environment while adhering to strict safety and hygiene protocols.

Duties

Operate machinery and equipment used in food production with mechanical knowledge and precision.
Follow established HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) procedures to ensure food safety at all stages of production.
Assist in preparing ingredients, packaging, and labeling products according to specifications.
Conduct routine quality checks, including basic math calculations for measurements and weights.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety standards.
Monitor production lines for efficiency, report any issues or malfunctions promptly, and support troubleshooting efforts.
Record production data accurately, including quantities produced, times, and any deviations from standard procedures.

Qualifications

Basic understanding of food safety principles and HACCP protocols.
Mechanical knowledge or experience operating manufacturing equipment is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions.
Good basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Previous experience in food production or manufacturing is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Commitment to adhering to all health, safety, and food safety regulations throughout the shift.
