Purpose of the Role
The Creative Marketing Support Assistant will support the delivery of creative marketing activity across Learna’s digital channels, with a strong focus on video content, social media, and creative campaign support. This role is ideally suited to a recent graduate, someone with one to two years of experience in marketing or content creation, or a student completing a placement year.
The successful candidate will help bring campaigns to life through short-form video, social content creation, basic design support, and day-to-day marketing assistance. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced marketing team, working across multiple digital platforms and creative projects.
Responsibilities
Creative and Video Support
- Assist in the creation of engaging short-form video content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Create simple graphics, social assets, and video thumbnails aligned with Learna brand guidelines.
- Assist with repurposing existing content into new creative formats across multiple channels.
- Support the organisation and management of creative assets including videos, imagery, and campaign files.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, video styles, and platform updates to support creative campaign ideas.
Social Media Support
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and queries across social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and respond to direct messages and inboxes to ensure consistent, responsive communication with prospective and current students.
- Assist with scheduling social media posts using Metricool, ensuring accuracy and consistency with the campaign calendar.
- Support the creation of social media captions and content tailored to different audiences and platforms.
- Assist with live social coverage during events, webinars, filming days, or campaign launches where required.
Email and Campaign Support
- Manage incoming responses to the marketing inboxes, ensuring queries are answered, or emails are directed to the appropriate team.
- Assist with compiling marketing emails for scheduling, ensuring layouts are accurate and aligned with campaign objectives.
- Support campaign delivery by preparing creative assets and content for use across email and digital channels.
- Assist with basic reporting on campaign performance across social media, email marketing, and video content.
Online Reputation Monitoring and Support
- Monitor and manage responses to Trustpilot and Google reviews, maintaining a professional and supportive tone in all communications.
- Flag any issues or patterns of feedback to the wider marketing and admissions teams for action.
- Monitor online communities for opportunities for Learna to embed knowledge, and give feedback to the wider marketing team for campaign planning.
Website Updates
- Assist with routine website updates, such as editing copy, uploading assets, or checking content for accuracy and consistency.
- Support the marketing team in ensuring all website content remains up-to-date and user-friendly.
General Marketing Support
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team as required, ensuring smooth delivery of campaigns and day-to-day activity.
- Assist with reporting tasks, compiling basic performance updates for social, email, and website activity.
- Support colleagues with ad hoc tasks and projects to ensure the overall effectiveness of the marketing function.
Essential Skills
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Creativity and an eye for engaging content
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using social media platforms
- Experience with Canva or similar design tools
- Basic video editing experience
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable
- Experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools
- Knowledge of email marketing platforms
- Experience managing social media accounts or creating content for a brand
