Bagging Operation & Dense Block Plant

Position Summary

Stone Supplies Wales is currently looking to recruit a Plant operations manager to join our bagging and dense block operation. If you enjoy responsibility, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced industrial environment, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a long-established company.

The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, production performance, safety, maintenance, and workforce management of the bagging operation and dense block manufacturing plant. This role ensures efficient plant performance, product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

Oversee all day-to-day plant operations for bagging and dense block production.
Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
Monitor plant performance, equipment efficiency, and production output.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and production specifications.
Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

Safety & Compliance

Promote and enforce a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
Ensure compliance with all environmental and company safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and training sessions.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Maintenance & Reliability

Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities for plant equipment.
Work closely with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maximize operational reliability.

Stock Level & Logistics

Oversee stock on all products and finished goods management.
Coordinate with logistics and shipping teams to ensure timely deliveries.

Pay: £40,000.00 per year
