Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert advice on medication usage, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where patient safety and well-being are paramount. The Pharmacist will play a vital role in supporting clinical teams and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to all legal and safety guidelines
Provide expert advice to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans
Maintain comprehensive records of prescriptions and patient interactions in accordance with data protection laws
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure continuous availability of medications
Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Educate patients on medication management, including proper storage and disposal methods
Stay updated with the latest developments in pharmacology and healthcare practices

Skills

Proven experience as a Pharmacist
Strong knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and medication administration protocols
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to healthcare delivery
Ability to communicate complex medical information clearly and effectively to patients and healthcare teams
Organised with keen attention to detail to minimise errors in medication dispensing and record keeping
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and general IT skills
