Full job description

Sunny Art Centre is currently looking for an experienced and passionate Fine Art Drawing & Painting Tutor to join our growing team in Central London.

We are an independent art school based in Covent Garden specialising in classical drawing and painting training inspired by traditional atelier methods and Old Master techniques. We teach students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced students preparing portfolios or developing professional practice.

About the Role:
We are looking for a tutor with strong traditional fine art skills who is confident teaching:

Observational drawing
Academic drawing techniques
Oil painting
Charcoal and tonal studies
Portraiture and still life
Colour theory and composition
Classical and contemporary painting approaches

The role involves teaching small group classes and potentially private tuition sessions within a supportive and creative studio environment.

Requirements:

Strong background in fine art drawing and painting
Previous teaching experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to teach students of mixed abilities
Passion for traditional art education and mentoring students
Degree in Fine Art or related discipline preferred

Desirable:

Experience with atelier training or Old Master techniques
Portfolio preparation experience
Watercolour or acrylic painting skills
Life drawing teaching experience
