Full job description

Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Care Assistant, providing compassionate and personalized support to individuals in their own homes across London. This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives by delivering high-quality care tailored to each person's unique needs. You will work closely with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to promote independence, comfort, and well-being.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and mobility to ensure their comfort and safety.
Develop and follow personalized care plans that address each individual’s specific health requirements and preferences.
Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in activities and social engagement.
Use your driving skills to transport clients safely to appointments, errands, or social outings as needed.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to provide updates and ensure continuity of care.
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure all documentation complies with regulatory standards.
Promote a positive environment through active listening, empathy, and respectful interactions.

Qualifications

Valid driving license with reliable access to a vehicle is highly desirable.
Experience working in a care home or providing home care services is preferred.
Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and team members.
Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding policies is advantageous.
A compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being.
