Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Artificial Sports Pitch Maintenance Operative to ensure the optimal condition and safety of synthetic sports surfaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and enhancing artificial pitches to meet professional standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for sports facility maintenance, landscaping, and horticulture, providing vital support to sports clubs, educational institutions, and leisure centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance and repairs on synthetic sports surfaces
- Operate machinery including tractors, sweepers, and specialist maintenance plant
- Tow trailers and transport equipment safely to and from work sites
- Complete job records and report site conditions accurately
- Work independently and as part of a skilled team
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety procedures
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in sports turf maintenance (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Confidence towing trailers
- Experience operating tractors and other plant/machinery
- Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to travel and work at different locations
