Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the overall operation of the kitchen. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in the organisation and supervision of kitchen operations during service
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently maintained in line with legal requirements and company policies
- Manage and oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as pastry, grill, or sauces
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff and apprentices where applicable
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to reduce waste and control costs
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations throughout shifts
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
- A passion for culinary arts and continuous learning to stay updated on current trends and techniques
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with serving experience that enhances customer service skills
