Location: Wickhambrook, Suffolk (20 mins from Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill & Newmarket)
Pay: £14.50–£15.80 per hour (£30,160–£32,864 per year) depending on experience
Hours: 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday (1‑hour unpaid lunch) and overtime when available.
Claydon Drills — an innovative, family‑run engineering manufacturer — is expanding, and we’re looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator with experience in sheet metal work to join our growing production team.
If you take pride in producing high‑quality MIG welds (from 1.5mm sheet metal assemblies to heavy gauge SHS and plate), enjoy working on real machinery, and want to be part of a supportive, hands‑on environment, this is your chance. TIG experience is a bonus but not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welding and fabricating components for our industry‑leading agricultural machinery
- Working closely with the production team to hit daily and weekly build targets
- Maintaining high standards of quality across all welds and assemblies

- Ability to produce clean, consistent welds on 1.5mm–20mm material

- TIG skills are a welcome advantage
