Full job description

Gardiff Group is a growing business operating within the commercial catering, refrigeration and EPOS sectors. We support customers across the hospitality industry and pride ourselves on delivering a reliable, professional service.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our office team and support the day-to-day running of the finance function.

This role would suit somebody who has previous experience working within a busy SME environment and enjoys being involved in all aspects of finance administration.

Key Responsibilities

Processing supplier invoices and managing purchase ledger
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
Preparing supplier payment runs
Bank reconciliations
Credit control and chasing overdue payments
Assisting with month-end processes
Maintaining accurate financial records
Supporting the wider office team with administrative duties where required

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Minimum 2 years' experience within an accounts, finance or bookkeeping role
Experience processing purchase ledger invoices
Experience of bank reconciliations
Experience dealing directly with suppliers and customers
Good working knowledge of Sage, Xero or similar accounting software
Strong Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail

Desirable:

Experience within an SME business
Experience of credit control
Exposure to month-end processes

Strong communication skills
Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
Comfortable working in a busy office environment
