Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, management expertise, and a solid understanding of financial and human resource management within a dental setting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure excellent patient care, and maintain the smooth running of the practice. Previous dental experience is essential, reflecting the importance of specialised healthcare knowledge in this role.We are a busy five surgery practice with a varied treatment range. 4 dentists, 2 hygienists. We also support in training new hygienists The hours are negotiable from part time to full time.Duties

Supervise and support dental practice staff, including receptionists, dental nurses, and hygienists, fostering a positive and efficient work environment
Manage day-to-day operations of the practice to ensure high standards of patient care and service delivery
Oversee financial management tasks
Coordinate human resources activities including recruitment, staff training, performance appraisals, and staff scheduling
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and industry standards
Maintain accurate patient records and oversee appointment scheduling to optimise clinic workflow
Liaise with suppliers and manage inventory levels for dental materials and equipment
Implement marketing strategies to attract new patients whilst maintaining excellent relationships with existing clients

Required

Proven supervising experience within dental environment
Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and efficiently
Experience in financial management including budgeting and expense control
Knowledge of human resources practices, such as recruitment, training, and staff development
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Exceptional communication skills to liaise with staff, patients and suppliers.
