Overview

We are recruiting a highly professional, outgoing and proactive female carer companion to support me with complex care needs. At the core of this role is a deep, unwavering respect for my dignity, which must be upheld at all times. I need someone confident, energetic, and able to bring fun and positivity, while staying grounded and reliable. Open, clear communication and trust are essential. A strong command of English is required for precise, easy communication. A car is necessary, with secure space for my manual wheelchair and easy front-seat access. This is a private arrangement, not via an angency, and we must fill this role quickly, as my current carer departs in September. Only female applicants should apply. Duties

Assisting with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
Providing companionship and emotional support to the individual
Supporting mobility and ensuring safety during daily activities
Preparing meals and assisting with feeding if necessary
Administering medication as prescribed, following care instructions
Driving the individual to appointments, social activities, or errands as required
Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in health or behaviour
Communicating effectively with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
Upholding confidentiality and respecting the individual’s privacy at all times

Experience

Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is preferred
Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively
Experience with driving and maintaining a clean driving licence is essential
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for clear communication
Basic IT skills for documenting care activities and updating records
Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with the individual and their family members
A caring nature with patience, reliability, and professionalism are essential qualities for this role
