Location: Peterborough (with travel to customer sites)

About the Role
We are looking for a Fire & Security Engineer to join our growing and friendly team. This role is ideal for an engineer with around 3 years’ industry experience who is confident carrying out servicing, fault-finding and installations across commercial sites, with some domestic work where required.
You will work on a range of fire and security systems including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and fire alarms. The role involves a mixture of reactive maintenance, preventative servicing and small to medium installations.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, provides excellent customer service and wants to continue developing their technical skills within a supportive business.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and fault-find on fire and security systems
- Carry out small to medium installations and upgrades
- Work on intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
- Complete all job sheets and reports accurately using company systems
- Deliver excellent customer service while on site
- Ensure works are completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Support customers with basic system operation and queries
- Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment
- Participate in the on-call rota when required
Experience & Skills RequiredEssential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within the fire and security industry
- Experience servicing and maintaining fire and/or security systems
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience with at least some of the following:
- Intruder alarms
- CCTV systems
- Access control
- Fire alarm systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills and confidence using mobile/job management systems
Desirable
- Experience with commercial installations
- Knowledge of network/IP-based systems
- FIA, ECS or other relevant industry qualifications
- Experience with systems such as Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, Pyronix, Advanced, Kentec or similar
- Electrical or electronic background/apprenticeship

Additional Information
- DBS and security screening checks will be required for this role
- Some travel and occasional overnight stays may be required
- The role will involve working at customer premises including commercial and residential properties
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
