We are seeking to appoint a motivated and caring individual to primarily work alongside children in our new Nurture class, supporting pupils with complex needs within our mainstream setting. This role requires patience, positivity, creativity and flexibility, along with a commitment to providing the very best education for our children. Although the role will primarily be based within the Nurture provision, the successful candidate may also be required to support pupils transitioning back into class, or to provide support within other classes across the school, depending on need.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience and knowledge of supporting children with additional needs and an understanding of the impact of trauma
- Is calm, patient and nurturing, and able to build strong, trusting relationships with children
- Can support children’s emotional regulation, communication and social development
- Understands the importance of routine, consistency and emotional wellbeing in helping children to succeed
- Is flexible, resilient and able to adapt support to meet individual needs
- Works well as part of a team, is reflective in their practice and is committed to ongoing professional development
