General Foreman

We're looking for a General Foreperson to join our United Utilities Framework based in the North West of England.

Location: North West of England
Hours: 45 per week

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

Join us as a General Foreperson and take the lead in overseeing day-to-day construction operations on water and wastewater treatment works. You'll play a vital role in ensuring that all work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards, whilst managing teams, subcontractors, and resources on-site. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What will you be responsible for?

As a General Foreperson, you'll be working within the construction operations team, supporting them in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality projects.

Your day to day will include:

Supervising and coordinating daily activities of supervisors, work teams, and subcontractors on-site
Interpreting project plans, programmes, and drawings to delegate work assignments effectively
Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring all personnel adhere to safety regulations and company policies
Monitoring work quality, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any issues that arise
Maintaining accurate records of daily operations, including labour hours, equipment usage, and site conditions

What are we looking for?

This role of General Foreperson is great for you if:

You have experience in the construction industry, ideally with supervisory or foreperson experience
You possess excellent communication and collaboration skills for liaising with teams, contractors, and stakeholders
You can motivate, guide, and mentor teams to achieve successful outcomes
You have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications
You hold a Full driving licence and are able to travel to various sites as required
