Warehouse Management Trainee (Understudy)

Job Description

Paramount Pools Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Management Trainee to join our established team in Hook, Hampshire. This is a hands-on role with progression into warehouse management, working within a specialist swimming pool distribution business.

The role combines warehouse operations, customer service, and technical product support. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

Manage goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
Maintain accurate inventory records
Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries
Process orders and prepare quotations

Customer Service

Handle trade enquiries via phone and email
Provide product support and basic diagnostics
Resolve order issues and discrepancies

Team Support

Assist with supervising and training warehouse staff
Support a positive and efficient working environment

Additional Duties

Assist with marketing activities and trade events
Attend annual industry exhibition (Coventry)
Deliver occasional customer training

Requirements

Strong organisational and communication skills
Good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Practical skills with hand tools
Strong problem-solving ability
Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

Warehouse or inventory experience
Forklift licence
Knowledge of swimming pool equipment

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 20–25kg
Comfortable working in varying temperatures

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)
Based in Hook, Hampshire with occasional UK travel
