Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance and proactive loss prevention measures. This role offers an opportunity to work within a professional setting where attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who are dedicated to ensuring safety and security. Due to nature of the site requirements and the advanced vetting process we are only able to hire British Nationals

Duties

Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems (CCTV) to observe activity across the premises.
Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and deterring theft or unauthorised access.
Respond promptly to security incidents, including emergencies or disturbances, following established protocols.
Maintain accurate logs of security activities, incidents, and observations.
Assist in implementing safety procedures, including providing first aid when necessary.
Control access points by verifying identification and authorising entry for authorised personnel only.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required.

Skills

Proven experience in surveillance and CCTV operation is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and security procedures.
Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies or stressful situations.
Basic first aid skills are preferred, with certification being an advantage.
Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting incidents clearly.
Physically fit with the ability to patrol large areas on foot and stand for extended periods.
Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information and situations.

This role offers a vital contribution to maintaining a safe environment while providing opportunities for professional development within the security industry. Because of the site's security requirements and the level of vetting involved, we are only able to consider applications from British nationals.

Pay: £13.25-£13.50 per hour
