Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, ensuring precision and quality in all work. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your welding expertise, mechanical knowledge, and fabrication skills within a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to craftsmanship and safety standards.

Duties

Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials.
Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and safety guidelines.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, assemble, and finish metal products.
Conduct basic measurements and calculations to ensure accurate fabrication dimensions.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into final products or structures.
Inspect completed work for quality assurance, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of work.

Experience

Proven experience in MIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards.
Practical knowledge of fabrication processes.
Competence in handling hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations.
Familiarity with assembly processes and the use of various fabrication machinery is desirable.
Previous experience working within a manufacturing or workshop environment is preferred but not essential for highly motivated candidates willing to learn.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about welding and fabrication who take pride in producing high-quality work within a safety-conscious setting.

Pay: £12.71-£20.73 per hour
