Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Self Employed Courier to join our logistics team. This role involves delivering parcels and goods efficiently across designated routes, ensuring timely and professional service. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving, possess excellent communication skills, and be comfortable handling various types of cargo. As a self-employed contractor, you will manage your own schedule and operations, providing flexible working hours suited to your availability.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport parcels to various locations within the assigned area
- Plan and optimise delivery routes for maximum efficiency
- Load and unload goods, including heavy items, with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collection receipts
- Communicate effectively with clients and dispatch teams regarding delivery status or issues
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations during operations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Uphold high standards of customer service by being professional, courteous, and punctual at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Organised with the ability to plan routes effectively
- Self-motivated with good time management skills
- Must be self-employed or willing to register as a contractor for independent work arrangements
This role offers flexible working hours tailored to your schedule, allowing you to operate independently while delivering excellent service. Candidates should be prepared for physical tasks involved in loading and unloading parcels and possess reliable transportation.
Pay: £25.00-£200.00 per day
