Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Manor House School, Slinfold, Horsham, RH13 0QX
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Salary: £23,638.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

What You'll Be Doing

Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them access learning and achieve their individual goals.
Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging, creative and personalised learning activities.
Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, communication and social development.
Promote positive behaviour and help create a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment.
Prepare classroom resources and support a range of enrichment activities, educational visits and school events.
Monitor and record pupil progress, sharing observations with the wider school team.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to provide consistent, holistic support.
Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of every pupil, helping them thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Holds GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Holds a full UK driving licence.
Is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
Is patient, resilient and able to build positive, trusting relationships.
Enjoys working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Brings a positive, proactive attitude and a genuine desire to help every pupil succeed.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
