Samatrix Limited is a leading Swansea-based engineering company at the forefront of delivering mechanical water and wastewater projects to UK utility companies. With a number of secured frameworks throughout Wales, we are entering an exciting period of growth through 2026. To meet this demand, we are looking to expand our first-class team with an experienced Lead Mechanical Fitter or Site Supervisor who shares our commitment to quality, health, and safety.
The Role
Based out of our Swansea depot, this is a heavily site-based role primarily covering South Wales and the South West of England. You will oversee and execute mechanical installations, ensuring our high standards are maintained on every project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical installation of pumping plant, pipework, handrailing etc.
- Installation of water and wastewater treatment plant equipment.
- Interpreting mechanical arrangement, process, and schematic drawings.
- Site surveys
- Managing RAMS and completing and managing site permits.
- Supervising on-site teams and maintaining strict Health & Safety along with quality compliance.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications: Completed apprenticeship or formal training in a mechanical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical plant site fitting, with at least 1 year at a lead or supervisory level.
- Skills: Ability to read technical drawings and proficiency in MS Word/Excel for documentation.
- Licence: Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
- Certifications: Ideally holds a CSCS card (or equivalent H&S competency) and supervisory training (e.g., SSSTS).
- Bonus Points: Welding and fabrication experience is beneficial.
