About us

The mission of the UCL GOS Institute of Child Health is to maximise and advocate for the holistic health of all children, young people and the adults they will become, through world-class research, education and public engagement. The UCL GOS ICH, together with its clinical partner Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, forms the largest concentration of children’s health research outside North America. The 2024-29 GOS ICH strategy focuses on its five scientific programmes. GOS ICH’s activities include active engagement with children and families, to ensure that our work is relevant and appropriate to their needs. About the role

Following a successfully grant application to the Little Princess Trust, we are seeking a postdoctoral research associate with experience in pluripotent stem cell biology to work on a project entitled ‘Stem Cell Modelling of Paediatric Germ Cell Tumours’. The project is to characterise our recently established human induced pluripotent stem cell model, using single cell transcriptomics. Funding is available for 2 years in the first instance.

About you

Will be a motivated and productive pluripotent stem cell biologist, who can work autonomously while also being a team player. Extensive experience in pluripotent stem cell biology and molecular biology is required, and experience of single-cell transcriptomics is desirable. Candidates with less experience will be able to demonstrate why their skillset is a strong fit for the role and that they have sufficient expertise to deliver the required outputs.
