Frazer, a leading civils and utilities merchant and part of the STARK Group, is looking for a Transport Manager to join our Glasgow branch.

This is a key position responsible for managing a fleet of 6 trucks and 1 LGV , planning and scheduling deliveries, coordinating third-party haulage providers, ensuring efficient routing and timely service, while maintaining full compliance with transport legislation.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, with no Saturday working.
Leading day-to-day transport operations and administration.
Managing a fleet of 6 trucks and 1 LGV to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
Organising and coordinating third-party haulage providers to meet customer delivery requirements.
Managing and scheduling deliveries, planning efficient routes, and ensuring timely, effective service.
Building strong working relationships with drivers, suppliers, customers, and external transport partners.
Overseeing driver compliance, including tachograph checks, defect reporting, PMIs, and vehicle service bookings.
Ensuring transport activities meet all relevant legal and company requirements.
Monitoring transport performance and identifying opportunities to improve service and efficiency.
Experience in logistics and transport planning with a strong understanding of transport legislation.
Previous experience managing transport operations and vehicle fleets.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Strong IT skills and regional geographical knowledge.
A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach.
Previous people management experience.
Experience within the builders' merchant, civils, construction supply, or distribution sector would be advantageous.
