About Flotec Environmental

Flotec Environmental is a specialist contractor providing drainage, pumping station and sewage treatment plant installation, servicing and maintenance throughout the South East. We are looking to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic Drainage & Service Engineer to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys varied work, problem solving and working outdoors. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

The Role

The successful applicant will work on a wide variety of domestic, commercial and industrial drainage systems, including sewage pumping stations and package sewage treatment plants.

Typical duties will include:

Servicing sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment plants.
Diagnosing drainage and pumping system faults.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
Operating high-pressure water jetting equipment.
CCTV drainage inspections and surveys.
A degree of ground works Installing and repairing drainage systems and associated pipework.
Installing and commissioning pumps, control panels and alarm systems.
Responding to emergency call-outs when required.
Producing clear service reports and recommendations.
Providing a professional and courteous service to our clients.
Working safely and in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.

Essential Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence.
Good practical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Reliable, punctual and hard-working.

Desirable (but not essential)

Electrical knowledge or experience.
Previous drainage or plumbing experience.
Experience working with pumps or pumping stations.
Confined Space Training.
High Pressure Water Jetting Certificate.

Full training will be provided where necessary.
