The Opportunity
National Parking Control Group Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead Adjudicator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced dispute resolution professional who is passionate about fairness, consistency, compliance, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
As Lead Adjudicator, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality and consistency of our appeals process, ensuring all cases are thoroughly investigated and adjudicated in accordance with company procedures, industry standards, and applicable legislation. You will act as a subject matter expert, supporting fellow adjudicators and helping to maintain the highest levels of decision-making quality across the team.
Whilst previous management experience would be beneficial, it is not essential. We are looking for someone with strong technical expertise, excellent judgement, and a commitment to mentoring and supporting colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and adjudicate appeals and disputes in line with company procedures and industry regulations.
- Ensure all appeals are investigated thoroughly, impartially, and fairly.
- Promote consistency and accuracy across adjudication decisions.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to adjudicators on complex cases and procedural matters.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, BPA/IPC requirements, and relevant legislation.
- Manage and support compliance-related activities, including GDPR obligations and Subject Access Requests (SARs).
- Assist in developing best practice guidance and training materials.
- Collaborate with operational teams to maintain exceptional customer service standards.
- Support management with reporting, process reviews, and performance improvement initiatives.
About You
We are looking for an individual who combines strong analytical skills with a fair and balanced approach to decision-making.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in dispute resolution, appeals handling, complaints investigation, adjudication, compliance, or a similar role.
- Demonstrable experience working within strict guidelines, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR legislation and practical experience handling Subject Access Requests (SARs).
- Experience interpreting and applying policies consistently and objectively.
- Excellent investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-reasoned decisions.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to support, mentor, and influence colleagues positively.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience within parking management, enforcement, legal services, compliance, or regulated industries.
- Experience conducting quality assurance reviews.
- Team leadership or managerial experience.
- Experience delivering coaching, mentoring, or training.
