Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated IPS Employment Specialist to support individuals in securing meaningful employment opportunities.

You will deliver high-quality employment support through the Connect to Work programme, helping individuals with health conditions, disabilities, complex barriers, or other disadvantages to secure and sustain paid employment.

Working in accordance with the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model and Connect to Work principles, the post holder will support participants to identify vocational goals, secure competitive employment, and maintain employment through personalised and recovery-focused interventions.

The role involves close partnership working with health services, local authorities, employers, education providers, community organisations, and other stakeholders across Hull and East Riding.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact within our organisation while developing your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of participants referred through the Connect to Work programme.
Deliver person-centred employment support tailored to individual needs, aspirations, strengths and circumstances.
Support participants to identify employment goals and develop realistic action plans.
Complete vocational profiling and employability assessments.
Assist participants with CV development, job applications, interview preparation and job search activities.
Promote participant independence and confidence through coaching and motivational approaches.
Deliver services in accordance with IPS fidelity and Connect to Work Guidance.
Develop positive relationships with local employers across Hull and East Riding.
Build effective working relationships with health professionals, Jobcentre Plus and other stakeholders.
Maintain accurate, timely and compliant participant records.
Follow organisational policies and professional standards.

Skills

Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
Experience of supporting individuals with disabilities into employment.
Knowledge of vocational profiling.
Experience of delivering IPS services using methodology is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Organisational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required
