Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tyre Fitter / Tyre Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive maintenance and a strong work ethic to develop their skills within a professional environment. The position involves hands-on work, requiring physical strength and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality service efficiently.

Responsibilities

Remove and replace tyres on passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and specialised equipment using appropriate hand and power tools
Conduct tyre repairs, including patching and vulcanising, adhering to safety standards
Perform wheel balancing and alignment checks as required
Inspect tyres for damage, wear, or defects and advise customers accordingly
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to ensure safety and efficiency
Assist with routine vehicle maintenance tasks as needed
Operate specialised equipment such as tyre changers, balancers, and air compressors with precision
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs or services clearly and professionally

Skills

Mechanical knowledge related to tyre fitting and vehicle maintenance
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers
Experience with power tools used in tyre fitting operations
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety protocols
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
Physical strength for heavy lifting of tyres and equipment, ensuring safe handling practices
Organised approach to work with attention to detail in completing tasks accurately
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
