Job Description
ESL Teacher (IELTS/ Cover Teacher)
Yorkshire English School is a family-run language school in the centre of Huddersfield, next to the train station. We are looking for talented, professional and enthusiastic EFL English teachers, to enable us to create a bank of emergency and regular staff.
We are looking for a short-term IELTS tutor for 8 weeks, this could also be extended to other cover teaching if needed.
There may be a possibility, for the right candidate(s), of extending the role to a permanent position.
Applicants must:
Have a first degree or equivalent (e.g. BA/BSc).
Have a CELTA qualification (or equivalent e.g. PGCE, EDI cert TEFL or Trinity TESOL).
Currently, live within a reasonable travelling distance of HUDDERSFIELD town centre.
Ideally, you will:
- Have a sociable and adaptable personality
- Have a high degree of self-motivation and planning ability
- Work effectively, using your own initiative, and as part of a team

Work Remotely
- Some cover lessons may be on ZOOM, consequently, we would like cover teachers to be well-versed on ZOOM.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Huddersfield HD1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
