Full job description

The Gleddings School is very special. It is precious to several generations of families in this locality and beyond. We are now educating the children of our past pupils. We consider it a great privilege to do so.

We are a, vibrant and welcoming school where the children are at the heart of everything we do.

In 2021 we opened our nursery provision – Little Gleddings that is operational 50 weeks a year from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm for children aged 6 months - 3 years. We have increased the number of children in our setting, and therefore, we are looking for qualified and experienced Level 3 nursery practitioner to join our supportive and imaginative team of professionals.

The successful candidate will be experienced in keeping records of each child’s development and learning journey and information will be shared with parents/carer on a daily basis. You will be expected to plan activities or any support required for a child’s next steps using observations and communication with the relevant parent/carer. You must have an understanding of the importance of nurture and its place in a child’s development.

If you are hardworking, a team player and able to build good relationships with children and parents we would like to hear from you.

You should have:

significant experience of working as a nursery nurse
have a nursery nurse qualification at Level 3 (Minimum) or equivalent and ideally be trained in paediatric first aid
can demonstrate a good understanding of how children develop and learn
have a proven record in working as part of a team as well as using initiative
have a sound understanding of Ofsted requirements and excellent skills in implementing safeguarding processes
