Central Building & Welding Academy (CBWA) is one of the UK's leading construction trade training centres, delivering practical courses in welding, electrical installation, plumbing, carpentry, bricklaying, plastering, tiling, kitchen fitting, locksmithing, CSCS training, and more.
We're looking for a creative and motivated Content Creator & Social Media Executive to join our team full-time and help showcase the incredible work taking place across our training centre every day.
The Role
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for creating engaging photo and video content, editing it into compelling social media posts, and managing our social media channels.
You'll spend time filming training sessions, interviewing learners, capturing success stories, and creating content that helps attract new students and grow our online presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Film and photograph courses, workshops, students, and instructors
- Create short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and X
- Edit videos and photos to a professional standard
- Write engaging captions and social media posts
- Schedule and publish content across all platforms
- Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages where appropriate
- Generate new content ideas and marketing campaigns
- Stay up to date with social media trends and platform updates
- Work closely with management to promote courses, events, and student achievements
Requirements Essential
- Experience creating content for social media platforms
- Strong video filming and editing skills
- Good photography skills
- Experience using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar
- Understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X
- Excellent written English
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience working in education, training, construction, or trades
- Knowledge of social media advertising
- Graphic design skills
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite
