Are you passionate about protecting your community from flooding? As a Flood Risk Management Trainee, you will play a vital role in supporting our team to tackle flood risks and enhance community resilience. This is a fantastic opportunity for students, graduates, or those at the start of their careers to gain hands-on experience and develop practical skills in a friendly and knowledgeable environment.
In this exciting role, you will:

Assist in investigating local flooding and drainage issues.

Collect, input, and manage flood risk data including GIS.

Support projects aimed at improving community flood resilience.

Contribute to the development of flood risk and mitigation schemes
To succeed in this role, you should have:

A keen interest in environmental management or related fields.

Basic knowledge of flood risk management principles.

Experience in data collection and management.

A full driving licence and access to a car (unless disability precludes this).

Salary progression will be dependant on professional and academic abilities, evidenced throughout staff supervision and EPDRs (Employee Performance & Development Reviews), and as detailed in each of the Job Description. This Post is a career grade post 2-5.
