Overview
We are seeking an individual with an enhanced DBS (due to role and date required) who is a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team to deliver Hip-Hop Dance on Wednesdays 3.15-4.15. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality techniques in Hip-Hop, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring children aged 3-11 and varied skill levels. This role offers an exciting opportunity to share your expertise and promote discipline, confidence, and physical fitness within our community.
Duties
- Plan and deliver one hour per week -an engaging dance class tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Demonstrate techniques accurately and ensure students understand proper form and safety procedures
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Maintain a safe, organised, and motivating training environment at all times
- Develop customised training programmes to meet individual student needs and goals
- Promote a positive attitude towards martial arts, discipline, and personal development
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and utilised correctly during classes
Skills
- With enhanced DBS for immediate start and experience in teaching dance
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to motivate and engage students effectively
- Excellent communication skills to clearly demonstrate techniques and provide guidance
- Organisational skills to plan lessons and track student progress efficiently
- Ability to foster a respectful, inclusive, and disciplined environment
- Passion for dance with a commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and personal growth
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods based on individual student needs
