We are a manufacturer of orthopeadic components/materials manufactured to high specifications for the medical industry. Our focus is to supply high quality medical products to exacting customer and international specifications, supported by our technical department, which is capable of testing polymeric materials to the highest standards. To support continued business growth, we require two enthusiastic people to join the DCM department.
Key Accountable Areas:
· Machining high quality, close tolerance replacement prosthetics components
· Utilising Cad/Cam programmes
· Sets up and operate lathe in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
· Lathe turning operations and executing quality control systems
· Maintaining high operating equipment efficiency levels
· Remove parts from lathe after specified times
· Conducting physical and visual checks on medical components, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials/parts
· Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to
· Ensure that all products are thoroughly quality checked
· Provide technical support and training to apprentices

Required Qualifications/Knowledge:
· 3 GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent qualifications
Experience
· Previous experience in a semi-skilled manufacturing role
Hours of Employment
· Early Shift: Monday to Friday, 06.00 to 14.00 with 4 x 15-minute breaks
· Back Shift: Monday to Friday, 14.00 to 22.00 with 4 x 15-minute breaks
· Due to the nature of the work, you may be expected to be flexible with regards to working hours and breaks to enable the best efficiency and utilisation during the daily period
· Duties and hours may vary dependent upon workload
