Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. The role of the Inspector is to ensure that deliverable parts meet National, International, and Customer Specific requirements.

Accountabilities
- To ensure that day to day work is inspected for compliance with customer specifications and order requirements, regulations, manuals, procedures and company policy;
- Day to day pre-inspection of incoming orders to ensure these are compliant and fit for processing prior to release to shop floor
- Liaise with Value Stream Manager’s to work in accordance with daily workload schedules in regard to inspection duties in line with the delivery plan whilst following visual acceptance standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Ensuring all documentation is completed in line with company procedure’s
- Perform daily calibration/verification checks by maintaining a log of measuring equipment i.e. XRF, MMS, optical micrometer etc;
- Raising and rejection of internal non-conformances
- Raise review and sign off certificates of conformity
- Inform the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) when internal documents including Procedures, Specifications, and other work instructions require amending
- When required attend internal Material Review Board (MRB) meetings
- Ensure that professional communications are used when liaising with customer contacts and suppliers to discuss and resolve issues
- Attend daily departmental meetings (SQDCP)
- Openly communicate with all other departments, such as engineering, sales, production, planning, EHS and logistics to ensure company objectives short are met · Actively participate in creation of new and existing inspection areas to ensure a suitable working environment. For example, light levels, eye tests, inspection equipment, humidity and temperature control;
- From time to time, you may be asked to do other duties outside of your job description, but within your capability.
Requirements
- Attention for detail would be highly beneficial;
- Effective communicator at all levels including internal personnel;
Knowledge
- Able to demonstrate an ability to learn and adapt to change;
- Effective interpersonal skills, such as communication & active listening;
Experience
- It would useful but not mandatory to have worked within a manufacturing environment;
- Would be beneficial to have worked within an aerospace environment
Pay starts at £12.71 per hour during first 6 month probation before rising to £13.40 thereafter.
