Full job description

- £12.71 per hour.

- After a 3-month probationary period, you will be entitled to a Machining Allowance.

- 28 days annual leave (Including bank holidays.)

- Company pension plan.

- Free on-site parking for those who drive, and a short 10-minute walk from the train station.

Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday 6.45am – 5.00pm. with a half hour lunch break each day.

Main Purpose of Job: To meet production schedule ensuring best use of various machinery & equipment at your disposal to produce quality products.

Relationships:

a) Responsible to: Team Leader, Production Director, Foreman

b) Liaison with: Team members, Team Leaders, Inspection, Foreman, H.V.O.F Operator.

The Ideal Honer/Polisher will have a mechanical mind set, come from a Production or Quality background and possess a positive attitude. You must be willing to learn and grow within the business long term.

MAIN TASKS OF JOB:

· Operating various machinery within the department.

· Completing all necessary documentation to comply with ISO 9001 standards.

· Comply with all company, Health & Safety policies and procedures.

· Work in a timely and effective manner.

· Co-operate with and support line managers.

Relevant Skills and Experience for this position:

· Experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally with Production experience.

· The ability to be flexible for more than one task at a time

· Excellent communications skills.

· Strong awareness of Health and Safety.
