Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management reports, and supporting strategic decision-making processes.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Management Accountant to join a growing business and become a key member of our finance team.

Reporting directly to the Managing Partner of Finance, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations whilst providing valuable commercial insight to support decision-making across the business.

This role offers genuine career development for the right individual. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the business, contribute ideas, improve processes and ultimately develop into a more senior finance position as the company continues its growth journey.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of VAT returns
Cash flow monitoring and reporting
Month end reporting and management accounts
Balance sheet management and reconciliations
Margin analysis across customer segments and product lines
Cost versus budget review and variance analysis
RBS facility reporting
Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
Bank reconciliations
P11D reporting
Assisting with annual external audit requirements
Managing forward currency contracts
Active involvement in the transition from Sage 200 to a new ERP system
Assisting the Managing Partner with ad hoc tasks as required

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent systems.
Strong understanding of financial management principles, including financial accounting and reporting standards.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
Experience in mentoring or supervising team members is advantageous.
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and internal control procedures.
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are preferred but not mandatory.
Organised with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
