About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, organised and hands-on Office Manager to help ensure our Head Office remains safe, welcoming, well-stocked, presentable and fully operational at all times.
This is a varied and practical role, acting as the central point of contact for office services, facilities, contractors and day-to-day workplace operations. You will play an important part in creating a clean, professional and efficient working environment, enabling teams across the business to focus on their roles.
The ideal candidate will enjoy taking ownership, solving problems, maintaining high standards and making sure the office runs smoothly each day.
Key Responsibilities
As Office Manager, your responsibilities will include:
· Opening the office and ensuring the building is ready for the working day
· Carrying out daily office readiness checks
· Ensuring kitchens, meeting rooms and communal areas are clean, tidy and fully stocked
· Managing incoming post, deliveries and parcel distribution
· Ensuring printers, water stations, coffee facilities and office supplies are replenished and operational
· Acting as the first point of contact for facilities-related issues
· Coordinating repairs and maintenance across office buildings
· Liaising with landlords, estate management, suppliers and contractors
· Supporting workplace health and safety compliance, including fire alarm testing, PAT testing and safety records
· Managing office equipment, furniture, workstations, keys and access fobs
· Preparing desks and workspaces for new starters
· Liaising with IT providers to ensure equipment is ready for new employees
· Managing cleaning standards and relationships with cleaning providers
· Arranging deep cleaning and practical housekeeping tasks where required
· Coordinating monthly staff lunches and supporting company events
· Maintaining notice boards and helping create a welcoming office environment
About You
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, reliable and happy to take a practical, hands-on approach. You will be confident working independently, comfortable managing a varied workload and able to prioritise effectively.
You will ideally have:
· Experience in facilities management or office management
· Experience managing contractors, suppliers or building maintenance
· Experience working in a fast-paced commercial environment
· Basic knowledge of workplace compliance requirements
· Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
· Good practical problem-solving ability
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Confidence using Microsoft Office applications
· A strong customer service mindset
· The ability to remain calm under pressure
