Main Purpose of Job: -
To assure the control and compliance of all manufacturing processes and parts being produced, through the application of part approval and process auditing ensuring the customer’s requirements for quality is met.
To assure any customer concerns are communicated to production, with any suspect parts or materials being quarantined within production or stores locations and verified / approved for use before release, with any rework activity of the parts being approved and verified being released.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure all duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner within the parameters of current health and safety legislation (HASAW Act 1974)
To conduct 1st off checks and process approval for all processes set up and parts produced giving production formal approval to manufacture parts to the signed off 1st off and approved sample part, ensuring all 1st off documentation is completed correctly and that all quality checks conducted carried out as specified and recorded as required.
To ensure that all job instruction sheets are correct and updated to the latest business and customer requirements to ensure that production management have the correct information to be able to set the process correctly and make complying parts.
To conduct process and visual validation checks in order to audit and check the running manufacturing process is correct to the set up and to ensure the parts produced are compliant with the quality requirement of the JIS and 1st Off and recorded as required.
To manage any raised quality concerns from either customers or internally through a process of Quality Alerts ensuring the alerts are raised, issued / displayed, logged and complied with when conduct any 1st off or production validation checks.
To ensure that all non-complying products and materials are quarantined by means of a quarantine notice and tape making them unavailable to customers and production until the quarantine notice has been signed for release by one of the nominated RGE Managers.
To ensure that parts requiring rework are quarantined and the rework process is agreed and approved by means of a 1st off and the process controlled through process validation checks.
To check all parts for dispatch are of the correct quantity and quality, and to raise any discrepancies / issues.
To ensure that all products are packed correctly as required.
To audit all produced products for compliance to quality, quantity and condition including packaging, and 100% inspections as required.
To record all findings of non-compliance in the benefit and use of continuous improvements and training.
To raise and document all failures to scans on the required form and issue to the shift supervisors at the end working shift.
To support the mentoring and training of the production team, helping them in the understanding of the product quality requirements.
General Duties: -

Set example of company image with high standards of personal appearance and efficiency in attendance and timekeeping, and when visiting and dealing with customers and suppliers.
To perform all other reasonable duties as and when required by the RGE Management Team.

Applicants should ideally have knowledge/experience of using computer software packages such as Microsoft office. A high level of accuracy and an aptitude for detail is required.
The position located at our Whittlesey site on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, ON ROTATION every second week.
- Day shifts: 06:45-15:15 - 30 min unpaid break
- Late shifts: 14:45-23:15 - 30 min unpaid break
- Night Shifts: 22:45-07:15 – 30 min unpaid break
