The Role - Creative Marketing & Design Assistant
Alto Marketing is looking for a creative, detail-focused, and eager-to-develop Assistant to join our growing team. You’ll sit at the intersection of graphic design and digital marketing strategy, producing work that looks exceptional and performs even better.
Design is at the heart of this role. The right candidate will have a strong eye for visual aesthetics and the technical skills to back it up, whether that’s producing on-brand social assets, laying out a white paper, or bringing a client brief to life across digital channels.
Role Structure & Working Hours
Flexible Options: We are open to configuring this role around the right candidate and will accept applications for either path outlined below.
Junior Pathway (Full-Time): A full-time role (37.5 hours per week) suitable for a junior-level applicant looking to develop their skills through internal mentorship.
Experienced Pathway (Part-Time): A part-time role (hours negotiable, e.g., 20–24 hours per week) suitable for a more experienced professional seeking a flexible schedule. Salary pro-rata.
Key Responsibilities
- Visual Content Creation: Create compelling visual content across social media, email, web, and print, consistent with each client’s brand identity.
- Campaign Support: Support the design and production of campaign materials including digital ads, landing pages, and promotional assets.
- Content Scheduling: Assist in planning and scheduling content across social platforms and email marketing tools.
- Brand Development: Contribute to the development of brand guidelines, client presentations, and pitch decks.
- Collaboration: Partner with senior team members on campaign briefs and client communications.
- Asset Management: Help maintain asset libraries and ensure design files are organised and accessible.
- Reporting: Download and distribute monthly reports – Social, SEO and AIOs.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Design Software: Canva, Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or Figma.
- Visual Eye: A strong eye for layout, typography, and visual composition.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple briefs and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating design work, whether academic, personal, or professional.
- Willingness to Learn: Enthusiastic about developing new skills, receptive to feedback, and committed to continuous personal and professional growth
Preferred Experience (Not Essential)
- · Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, paid social, or Google Ads.
- · Knowledge of SEO basics and content strategy.
- · Experience with email marketing tools such as Mailchimp or HubSpot.
- · Understanding of analytics platforms including GA4.
- · Familiarity with generative AI tools for creative workflow efficiency.
