The Role
As a Project Management Degree Apprentice, you will play an active role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of projects across the business while studying towards a Project Management degree.
This is not a classroom only apprenticeship. You'll gain real world experience working alongside experienced project managers, technical specialists and operational teams, helping to deliver projects safely, efficiently and successfully for our clients.
You'll spend four days per week in our office and operational environment, with one day per week dedicated to university study as part of your degree apprenticeship programme. Over the course of four years, you'll develop the technical, commercial and leadership skills needed to build a successful career in project management, with clear progression opportunities upon completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting project planning, scheduling and resource coordination
- Assisting with project documentation, reporting and administration
- Monitoring project progress against budgets, timelines and objectives
- Attending client meetings, project reviews and site visits
- Coordinating communication between internal teams and external stakeholders
- Supporting risk management, quality assurance and compliance activities
- Maintaining accurate project records and management information
- Learning and applying project management tools, methodologies and best practice
- Working closely with operational, technical and commercial teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Developing your professional knowledge through both workplace learning and university study
About You

You will bring:
- The necessary course entry requirements for BSc (Hons) Project Management (Degree Apprenticeship) - BSc (Hons) Project Management Degree Apprenticeship | University of Portsmouth
- A genuine interest in project management, construction, engineering or business
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working with different people and teams
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications
- A full UK driving licence
(The Degree apprentice application needs to be submitted to Portsmouth University by the end of July 2026, to start the apprenticeship in September 2026).
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with the drive, curiosity and determination to develop into a future Project Manager.
