Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Production Operative to join our established and expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a successful business where you will play a key role in our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of manufacturing processes that are essential to the smooth and efficient operation of the business.
Responsibilities
- Operate a range of manufacturing machinery and equipment, including balances, blenders, and processing units.
- Follow detailed production instructions and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Inspect intermediate and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Record production data accurately, including quantities produced, machine performance, and any issues encountered
- Support team members in troubleshooting mechanical issues using basic mechanical knowledge
- Ensure compliance with all food safety standards throughout the production process
- Pack finished products ready for dispatch.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organisation within the production areas.
Requirements
- Preferably have experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
- Have excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Be able to meet production deadlines as part of a team.
- Be able to follow instructions accurately and work to established procedures.
- Possess good organisational and communication skills.
- Be reliable, proactive, and motivated.
- Mechanical knowledge or aptitude for troubleshooting machinery is desirable
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for measurements, calculations, and record keeping
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety at all times
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, however individuals who are highly motivated and have a willingness to progress are also acceptable, as full training will be provided.
Successful Candidates will be required to work the following hours: Week 1 - 6am to 2pm, Week 2 - 10am to 6pm.
Pay: £12.71-£13.71 per hour
