Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dinner Time Assistant (term time only, between the hours of 11am and 3pm - to be agreed) with childcare qualifications to support our organisation in providing a nurturing and engaging environment for children during mealtimes. This role involves supervising children, assisting with meal service, and ensuring a safe and positive experience for all children. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare and hold a relevant level 2 or 3 childcare qualification.

Duties

Supervise children during dinner times, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Assist with the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with dietary requirements and organisational policies
Engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote social interaction and enjoyment
Maintain a clean and organised dining area before, during, and after meals
Support children with behavioural guidance and positive reinforcement strategies
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth mealtime routines
Occasionally assist with childcare duties outside of mealtimes, including light supervision or organising activities

Requirements

recognised childcare qualification (level 2 or 3)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children and team members
Compassionate, patient, and attentive attitude towards children's needs
