Full job description

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

· Gather and track time records and hours of client employees and calculate hours worked in order to supply accurate payslips to clients.

· Act as a receptionist to the payroll department by answering all questions.

· Maintain records of regular deductions from employees’ payments such as Pay As You Earn (PAYE) and pensions.

· Coordinate efforts between the payroll department and other departments.

· Maintain employees’ records; including the correct entry of changes in employee’s status. Such as, termination of employment and tax code alterations.

· Ensure prompt update of all software for accurate payroll processing and administration.

· Ensures the submission of payroll reports in a timely fashion to meet deadlines.

The above list is not exhaustive and you will be expected to perform any other duties that any reasonably be expected of this position.

· Minimum one year payroll department experience.

· Ability to process basic functions and formulas in Microsoft Excel.

· Familiarity with payroll software, e.g. Moneysoft/Sage Payroll.

· Strong attention to detail required.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Ability to manage assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner.

· Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.

· Be computer literate with Microsoft Word and Excel.

·Knowledge of autoenrollment pension schemes. E.g. NEST.
