Experienced Stone Mason / Fabricator

Location: Bishops Stortford
Company: Smart Marble Group Ltd
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Overtime: Available

About Us

Smart Marble Group Ltd is a growing stone fabrication company specialising in the manufacture and installation of high-quality quartz, granite, marble and porcelain worktops for residential and commercial projects. We are looking for an experienced Stone Mason to join our workshop team in Bishops Stortford.

The Role

You will be responsible for the fabrication and finishing of premium stone worktops to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Polishing and finishing all edge profiles
Producing accurate mitred edges and joints
Cutting and polishing sink cut-outs
Hob cut-outs and tap holes
Drainer grooves
Working with quartz, granite, marble and porcelain
Reading technical drawings and templates
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
Carrying out quality checks before installation

Requirements

Previous experience as a stone mason or stone fabricator is essential
Confident polishing edges to a high standard
Experience producing mitred edges
Ability to complete sink and hob cut-outs accurately
Experience with hand tools and stone fabrication machinery
Good attention to detail
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
