Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fish Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for food safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant kitchen environment, specialising in fish dishes and meal preparation. The Fish Fryer will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, delicious meals are prepared efficiently and safely, supporting the overall dining experience.
Duties
- Prepare and cook fish dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in line with food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Assist with meal preparation, including cleaning, filleting, and portioning fish
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during food preparation
- Maintain cleanliness of the cooking area, including washing utensils and surfaces
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
- Support other kitchen staff as needed during busy service periods
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential
- Experience in meal preparation, particularly with fish or seafood, is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic culinary techniques is preferred
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role such as serving or hospitality can be beneficial but is not mandatory

Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
