Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Restaurant Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment, supporting various operational aspects of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, excellent customer service skills, and a keen interest in culinary arts. Previous experience in food production, serving, or management is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills within the hospitality sector.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and production to ensure timely service and high-quality standards
Serve customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and food presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and kitchen stations
Manage order-taking processes, including handling reservations and customer requests
Uphold food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
Contribute to stock management by monitoring inventory levels and assisting with restocking supplies
Support management with daily operational tasks to ensure smooth restaurant functioning

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred
Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with customers and colleagues
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and support a collaborative work environment
A proactive attitude with a keen interest in developing further within the hospitality industry
