Full job description

HGV Delivery Driver

Tamar Trading Company Ltd is a well-established and respected family-run business with five trading branches across Devon and Cornwall.

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated HGV Delivery Driver to join the team at our Bodmin branch.

Duties

Deliver goods to customers and sites safely and efficiently.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
Load and unload goods, including manual handling where required.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
Adhere to all road traffic laws and company policies.
Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle at all times.

Requirements

Valid Class 2 HGV licence with a clean driving record.
Valid CPC qualification.
Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
Ability to carry out manual handling and heavy lifting when required.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Good time management and attention to detail.

Industry experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. A HIAB certificate would be advantageous; however, training will be offered to the right candidate.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday, 7:30 - 5:00 & alternate Saturday's, 08:00 - 12:00.
