Full job description

Are you a natural leader who can motivate a team to hit (and exceed) targets? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where organisation and accuracy are key? Can you balance people leadership with operational excellence and customer focus?

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Warehouse Team Leader, to join our multi-user site in West Hallam. You’ll support the Warehouse/Operations Manager in delivering outstanding operational performance. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day team activities, ensuring workloads are effectively organised and KPIs are consistently achieved.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll play a key part in driving performance, maintaining stock accuracy, and fostering a strong safety-first culture.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Initially you will work Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:30, however flexibility is required during peak seasons, where you will have rotating shifts.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £31,266.54 per annum and 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

Lead, motivate and develop your team to achieve and exceed operational KPIs
Take ownership of stock accuracy, including cycle counts, audits and investigations
Plan and organise daily workloads, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time
Champion Health & Safety, ensuring compliance with safe systems of work and best practice
Engage with internal and external customers, resolving queries and maintaining high service standards

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics leadership role
Strong people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
Excellent organisational and prioritisation ability in a fast-paced environment
A strong understanding of stock control and inventory processes
A proactive, safety-first mindset, with knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
