Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joinery CAD Technician/Designer to join our dynamic team on a temporary basis for approximately 10 weeks.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical drawings for items such as large volume bespoke hotel bedroom furniture to one-off complex joinery items such are bars, reception counters, and bespoke seating. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external interior designers, builders and fit-out companies to deliver precise technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create accurate and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to interpret client specifications and translate them into practical, functional designs.
- Organise and manage CAD files and technical documentation, ensuring traceability and clarity across all projects.
- Liaise with production and sales teams to ensure designs align with site requirements, product specifications, cost estimates, and client expectations.
- Conduct technical reviews of designs, resolving any issues related to measurements, materials, or installation processes.
- Visit client sites to conduct surveys and take precise measurements/gather information and ensure design accuracy.
- Design hotel bedroom furniture ranges, seating, and bespoke joinery items such as bars.
Requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Previous experience in furniture design and technical joinery is essential, ideally for the contract market.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise, drawings to a high level of detail.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal staff and external architects, designers, and builders.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
